Vacancy ▸ Art Technician – fixed term until June 2025

We are seeking an organised individual with excellent people skills and a working knowledge of art materials and processes to support our Art Department to cover maternity leave.  The appointed person will work under the supervision of the Art and Photography teachers to assist in the preparation of materials and provide support to pupils during lessons.

Duties include:

• Providing in class support to pupils
• Ensuring the working environment is maintained to a safe standard
• Maintaining stock levels, preparing orders, storing materials
• Supervision of the Darkroom and operating the kiln

You will:

• Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Have a good working knowledge of art materials and processes
• Be a good communicator and work well with others
• Be able to manage time effectively and identify resources needed to accomplish tasks

The job:

• 21 hours per week
• Scale Point 3, £11.79 per hour, £10858 per annum actual salary
• Term time only, plus September training day
• 4 days per week
• 9.00am to 2.45pm with a 30 minute lunch break
